Research- Conventions of a film opening

Using 'Youtube' I searched for the 'Mission Impossible 3' Film opening which contained conventions of a film opening. This movie was directed by J. J. Abrams. In this short film opening, a few film conventions have been used which can also be found in other film openings.



Firstly as we can see on he right hand side, The writing is
not in a cmplicated font or colour, which tells us that
this movie is going to be very straight to the point, the
colour red also symbolizes danger,passion which can also
inform the audience that we will be seeing this within
the movie.

Furthermore the way that this short film opening starts
is by a small fire, this gradually builds up tension because
the clours used are very bright and eye catching and as the
wire keeps burning leadin us to the end of the film opening       
we begin to understand that this is an action movie.



Another Film convention is the transitions which are used inbetween the changing of names, they are very fast pace and jumpy which also informs the audience that theres a lot in the movie with lots of quick scenes.

To conclude,Most movie film openings use the same sortof film conventions however they are used in different ways in order to attract the audience in different ways.
