We are about to start our prelim task, which will allow us to demonstrate everything we've learnt since the beginning of the topic. We will get a chance to film and edit this piece as a practice version for our own opening sequences.
The brief is to " film the following sequence, make sure to use at least one match cut, an example of a shot-reverse-shot and showing your understanding of the 180 degree rule (by not breaking it!)".
The scenario is the following; "a character opens a door, walks into a room, sits down opposite another character and they share a few lines of dialogue"
From this scenario, we developed it further into an actual story. It is about a woman who goes to see a well-known assassin regarding a situation that is unclear. It seems as if they will be undertaking some sort of business together. The dialogue will be brief, which will create a sense of mystery amongst the audience.
