production logo and distributor

The genre to be established

Establish location/setting

Introduce openings

Non-diegetic theme tune

Psycho:

The opening title sequence of psycho showed the names being slashed and were fragmented which mirrored the title of the film and conveys the idea of 'Psycho.'
There was orchestral, up-tempo music during the title sequence which created quite a sinister atmosphere, again correlating with the idea of 'Psycho'. It sets the tense atmosphere for the rest of the film and almost makes you jump at the unexpected changes. The music does have a very enticing manner towards it because the audience find themselves at the edge of there seats and  wanting to know whats next.
